What Is Automated Micro-Needling?
Automated micro-needling is an innovation in aesthetics for the treatment of the appearance of fine lines, acne scars and the skin’s texture, tone and color. Eclipse MicroPen® is the most advanced medical-grade automated micro-needling device on the market. Dr. Tracy uses the Eclipse MicroPen exclusively to achieve outstanding results for his patients.
What Are The Benefits?
The benefits of micro-needling can included a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, younger-looking skin with fewer signs of aging.
Microneedling may also has a positive effect on the appearance of hyper-pigmentation, hypo-pigmentation, acne scars, traumatic scars and stretch marks and generally creates a fresher appearance or glow to the skin.
What Areas Of The Body Can be Treated?
All parts of the body, including the: face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back.
How Is The Procedure Done?
A sterile applicator containing 12 points is attached to the Eclipse MicroPen®.
A layer of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) are applied to your skin and then we select the appropriate pen setting based on your unique needs.
Next, in a single motion, the pen will be gently pressed against the skin while simultaneously gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered.
What Does It Feel Like?
The feeling associated with the microneedling is similar to light sandpaper being moved across the skin.
While some areas are more sensitive than others, the speed of the reciprocating tip reduces discomfort while the applied hydrating gel also makes the treatment more tolerable.
How Long Does The Procedure Take?
The procedure takes 15-30 minutes depending on the size of the area treated.
What Is The Downtime?
Immediately after the treatment you will notice a bright redness to the skin.
The total healing time depends on the Eclipse MicroPen® setting used and the number of overlapping passes your skincare professional performs. On average, patients are red up to 2 to 4 days. Many patients heal completely in as little as 24 hours.
When Will I See The Results?
Patients notice an immediate “glow” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several days and weeks. Results can continue to improve up to 6 months.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Some patients only require a single treatment once per year to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart.
For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 4- 6 week intervals.
What Are The Advantages Of Microneedling Over Other Procedures Such As Lasers?
Microneedling is able to achieve excellent results regardless of skin color because it is not a light based technology like lasers. Lasers work best on lighter skin due to the fact that they need to differentiate between the lighter skin and darker area or spots in order to treat the dark areas. This is why darker skin individuals sometimes don't get the best results from traditional laser treatments. Fractional CO2 resurfacing has a risk of hyperpigmentation in darker skin as well.
Microneedling allows us to utilize the regenerative power of PRP unlike laser or CO2 treatments.
Also, there is no risk of skin burns with microneedling and the downtime is usually much less compared to laser treatments.

How does Juvederm work?
JUVÉDERM® is a filler that relies on hyaluronic acid rather than collagen to plump up the skin. Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the human body. Over time, skin becomes loose, thin, and dry due to the breakdown of hyaluronic acid and collagen, which serve to tighten and hydrate the skin.
What are the different kinds of Juvederm & what do they target?
JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC
When we're young, fat pads in the upper and mid cheek area give a more youthful, fuller appearance. Over time, age-related mid-face volume and fat loss develops which cause the cheeks to flatten and sag. Deep wrinkles, parenthesis lines develop over time from the aging process and volume loss. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC adds volume to correct age- related volume loss in the cheeks to help create a more youthful appearance. Patients reported looking up to 5 years younger at 6 months after treatment. Lasts up to 2 years in cheek area.
Deep wrinkles around the nose and mouth form due to volume loss and breakdown of hyaluronic acid and collagen which serve to tighten and hydrate the skin. This is why over time skin becomes loose, thin, and dry. Juvéderm XC can smooth and soften the lines and wrinkles around your nose and mouth for a more youthful appearance. Proven to last up to 1 year.
JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC
As with cheek volume loss and wrinkles, the lips lose volume as we age creating a thinner appearance often times with vertical lines. JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC is specifically tailored to add subtle volume to the lips and smooth the appearance of vertical lip lines. Lasts up to 1 year.
