Pricing can be found here for all of our procedures. Treatments are typically sold as packages of 4 treatments to produce maximum long lasting results.

Most procedures take anywhere from 45 minutes for the Rejuv treatment to 90 minutes for the Rejuv & Resurface treatment. This is total time including the topical numbing cream application and procedure time.

Downtime can range from no downtime to a few days for most of our treatments. You may have slight redness, similar to a mild sunburn or slight swelling. This generally clears up in 1 day. For pigmentation treatments (dark sun spots) you can expect those treated spots to get darker for up to 7 days before the crust falls off. This can be covered with make-up during this time. Most people are comfortable going back to work the next day.

We ask that if you are using any topical retinoids such as Retinol or Retina-A, either over the counter or prescription, please stop using for at least 14 days prior to any laser treatment. Also stop any chemical exfoliates such as salicylic and glycolic acid 1 week prior to the procedure. Please check any nightly creams you may be using for retinol and stop using this as well. You may resume retinoids 30 days after the procedure. It would be beneficial to have a microdermabrasion procedure 5-7 days prior to the procedure to help prepare the skin.
All of our treatments are best done as a series of 4 treatments spaces 1 month apart. This is to ensure maximum long lasting results.

While you can get just 1 treatment done if you really want to, we generally don’t consider this sufficient enough to fully maximize your results. After years of sun exposure, reversing this is not easily accomplished with 1 treatment unless you are doing a fully ablative laser procedure which has weeks of downtime. Though some clinics and med spas may tell you 1 treatment is all you need, this is typically not true. Our goal is to give you long lasting results, and this usually takes several treatments. One (1) treatment may give the appearance of clearer skin but typically the results do not last long.

We are able to treat skin type I-IV with all of our treatments. This means we are able to treat Asian and Hispanic skin without a problem. Type V and VI skin can be treated with more limited applications. A consult and thorough examination is performed prior to any treatment to minimize side effects.

We use the Pro Yellow Laser. It is a new, innovative yellow diode 577nm laser designed specifically for vessels, melanin, and melasma. It has a fractional hand piece that is used to fractionally rejuvenate larger areas and a spot hand piece used to target specific lesions, pigment, or vessels. The laser is made in Germany and we are one of the few clinics in the country to utilize this unique laser.

The Pro Yellow laser is used by top Beverly Hills dermatologists for skin rejuvenation, as seen on The Doctors TV show. It specifically targets blood vessels and melanin in your skin. Because there is no true one size fits all laser, we feel this laser gives the best chances for success with little risk of side effects. Typically when treating brown spots on the skin, many lasers are able to clear those spots to some degree, but usually the pigment returns or you are left with redness underneath. The Pro Yellow laser attacks not only the brown pigment but also the underlying redness and deep feeder vessels. This ensures longer lasting results. And because there is a fractional hand piece, we are able to not only rejuvenate the skin tone and pigment but also stimulate collagen for long term skin tightening.

Microneedling, also known as percutaneous collagen induction (PCI), is a non-surgical treatment that uses very fine, short, sterile needles to create tiny punctures in your skin, prompting a natural, collagen-stimulating healing process that corrects flaws and improves skin quality. This minimally invasive* facial treatment is clinically-proven to deliver an improvement over time for several different dermatologic conditions, including facial wrinkles and facial acne scars.

The benefits of Micro-Needling can included a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, younger-looking skin with fewer signs of aging.
Micro-Needling may also has a positive effect on the appearance of hyper-pigmentation, hypo-pigmentation, acne scars, traumatic scars and stretch marks and generally creates a fresher appearance or glow to the skin.

A sterile applicator containing 6 microneedles is attached to the Exceed device. A layer of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) or Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is applied to your skin and then we select the appropriate setting, based on your unique needs.
Next, in a single motion, the device will be gently pressed against the skin while simultaneously gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered.
Because we use the highest strength numbing cream available, specifically formulated for deeper skin procedures, you likely will not feel any pain at all. While some areas are more sensitive than others, the superior engineering of the Exceed device including the speed of the reciprocating tip, finer precision needles, and rotating tip all help reduce discomfort especially compared to other “pens” and devices on the market. Dr. Tracy has experience with many different microneedling pens available and since switching this device, patient comfort has far exceeded any other machine.
The procedure takes 15-30 minutes after numbing time depending on the size of the area treated. Numbing can take 30- 45 minutes and can be done at home if you wish.
Immediately after the treatment you will notice a bright redness to the skin.
The total healing time depends on the skin condition we are treating and the corresponding settings used. For example, acne scarring may require deeper settings than collagen induction or rejuvenation. On average, patients are red up to 2 to 4 days. Many patients heal completely in as little as 24 hours.

Some patients only require a single treatment once per year to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart.
For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 4- 6 week intervals.

Neurotoxins are purified proteins produced from the Clostridium Botulinum bacteria. The most common toxin is called Botox but there are many others including Newtox and Xeomin. They have been used for wrinkle therapy since the early 1990’s with no serious side effects documented.
Some of the common areas treated with neurotoxin include crow’s feet, frown lines, laugh lines, and forehead wrinkles.
A small amount of toxin is injected right into the muscles that are responsible for creating wrinkles or undesirable facial muscle effects. This treatment is quick and results usually last for three to six months. The toxin temporarily inactivates the muscles that produce wrinkles, thereby causing lines to disappear or diminish dramatically. It usually takes a few days or weeks after the injection to notice the wrinkle smoothing effect.
After the first treatment, you may return for follow-up injections. Some doctors report that after several treatments, the effect of neurotoxin injection appears to last longer, often up to several months.

Neurotoxin procedure is relatively painless because we use the tiniest needle possible for injection.

Complications from toxin injections to the upper eyelid include occasional bruising from the injection, and a temporary drooping of the eyelid, which rarely occurs after frown line injection. The injected medication is used in extremely small amounts and does not spread throughout the body so you can return to full activity immediately.

JUVÉDERM® is a filler that relies on hyaluronic acid rather than collagen to plump up the skin. Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the human body. Keep in mind that it takes time for hair to grow. You will not notice results immediately as it takes time to restore follicle health and then for the new strands of hair to grow. We recommend you take pictures of your scalp before you begin treatment so you can effectively keep track of results.

0–3 Months: The first thing you may or may not notice is an increase in shedding. If this is the case, don’t worry. Initial hair shedding is actually a sign that the treatment is working – indicating that new anagen hairs are pushing out the older hairs to make way for healthy new shaft of hair. Some itchiness might be experienced at this point in the process as the arrector pili muscles linked to the follicle contracts.

3–6 Months: Next, you will begin to notice a decrease in hair loss. After the first few weeks of using your device according to the instructions, you will notice that hair is not shedding as much as previously. Do not be discouraged if you don’t see significant change. Keep in mind that preventing progression of hair loss is in itself a success. You may notice that your hair is slightly fuller in the areas that you had noticed thinning.

12 Months: This is the time to evaluate the results of laser therapy. We recommend you take another set of pictures and compare to those you took at the beginning.

24 Months +: This is when you should see the greatest and most impactful results. Expect to see the most you can get from Capillus laser therapy at this point. For as long as you continue to comply with laser therapy, you should maintain a fuller head of hair and reduction of hair loss.

Formula 82F

Formula 82F “Finoxidil” is a topical compounded prescription solution containing the FDA-approved hair growth medications finasteride 0.25% and minoxidil 5%, as well as retinoic acid for enhanced penetration of minoxidil and sebum reduction, a mild low-dose anti-inflammatory, oleanolic acid—a mild anti-androgen, and other beneficial ingredients such as powerful antioxidant algae extracts without any propylene glycol (a common irritant) at a neutral pH. Finasteride is the active ingredient in the FDA-approved drug Propecia. Minoxidil is the FDA-approved active ingredient in over-the-counter Rogaine and in compounded prescription Formula 82M.
Formula 82F “Finoxidil” offers the powerful DHT-reducing effect of finasteride along with a deeply penetrating minoxidil formulation in a non-greasy, user-friendly, hairstyle friendly, compounded topical prescription formula that may be appropriate for men and some postmenopausal women in the medical management of hair loss.
Twice daily minoxidil has been shown to regrow hair in up to 85% of men and 60% of women. Finasteride was FDA-approved as an oral prescription hair regrowth pill for men in 1998. While 90% effective orally, concerns about systemic side effects led researchers to explore the benefits of a compounded preparation of topical finasteride. Formula 82F “Finoxidil” offers the synergistic approach of the only two medications FDA approved for hair regrowth.
Dr. Tracy recommends that 30 drops of Formula 82F “Finoxidil” should initially be applied as directed—twice daily to the entire scalp that is “at-risk” and focusing primarily on the areas of hair thinning. Formula 82F Finoxidil should be distributed evenly and allowed to absorb for at least three hours before showering, swimming, or participating in heavy physical or other activity that may cause sweating. The special bottle allows for the accurate application of medication directly where you need it… on the scalp, not on your hair. Formula 82F topical “Finoxidil” should be applied to dry scalp, and also can be applied to towel-dried/mostly-dry scalp after showering, before styling.
It is well accepted that minoxidil is a potent hair growth stimulator, causing resting follicles to produce hair, and weak follicles to produce longer thicker, and more pigmented hair over time with consistent use. Oral finasteride is used to reduce dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a known trigger for hair loss, in order to enhance hair growth. New research suggests that topical finasteride can be an effective treatment for hair loss and may reduce the chance of side effects that may occur with oral treatment.
Formula 82F “Finoxidil” typically works to protect and enhance hair growth wherever there are weakened hair follicles or areas “at-risk.” Common treatment areas include the crown/vertex area, top of the scalp, as well as the frontal/temple areas.
In patients with a light complexion and skin tone, the scalp may appear slightly more pink than usual due to increased blood flow from the treatment. Redness, dryness, flaking, inflammation, and discomfort at the scalp can occur but are rare with Formula 82F “Finoxidil” because it has anti-inflammatory properties and contains absolutely NO propylene glycol (found in over-the-counter minoxidil solutions). For patients concerned about the risk of sexual side effects from oral finasteride, research suggests that Formula 82F “Finoxidil” which contains topical finasteride may significantly reduce those risks. Discontinue therapy and notify Dr. Bauman immediately if you experience any side effects from treatment.
No. The sophisticated proprietary process used to create Formula 82F “Finoxidil” allows it to be absorbed more quickly, dry more quickly and leave no sticky residue common with over-the-counter minoxidil or other prescription solutions. Applied correctly, there should be little to no impact on your hairstyle. Because it is propylene glycol-free and formulated with a proprietary process, the result is a quick-dry, non-greasy, non-sticky experience.
Increases in hair growth can be seen as early as ten weeks. Cosmetic benefits may take six to twelve months to be noticeable in the mirror or in photos.
Formula 82F Topical Finasteride+Minoxidil is a powerful hair regrowth treatment for the vast majority of hair loss and hair thinning patients. However, the effects of topically-applied finasteride cannot completely duplicate the DHT lowering effects of a systemically absorbed oral finasteride dose. Every patient is different, but we would not typically expect the same hair regrowth results with topical finasteride as we would with consistent use of oral finasteride (propecia).
A one-on-one consultation with board-certified hair restoration physician, Dr. Tracy, is the best way to determine if you are a good candidate for Formula 82F “Finoxidil”. Routine medical tracking is recommended in order to achieve the best possible results with Formula 82F “Finoxidil” topical finasteride with minoxidil, or any hair restoration regimen.
Women of childbearing age should NOT use or come into contact with Formula 82F “Finoxidil” or areas topically treated with the medication for at least three hours due to a risk of birth defects in a developing male fetus. Like all topical medications, keep Formula 82F “Finoxidil” and treated areas safely out of reach of children. Please refer to the pharmacy product insert for further information.
Hereditary hair loss is a medical condition that responds very well to multimodality or multi-therapy approach. Formula 82F can be used in conjunction with PRP, Low-Level Laser Therapy (Capillus Rx LaserCap) as well as oral treatments because it works with a completely different, non-redundant mechanism than the other hair growth therapies mentioned. When used in conjunction with hair transplantation, Formula 82F should be avoided during the healing phase and resumed after the crusts are gone and the skin is healed completely.

Formula 82M

Minoxidil was approved for use by the FDA in the 1980s, and ever since then it’s been researched heavily—but it’s still a relative mystery. While we’re still trying to narrow in on exactly why it works, we can all agree that it does work, and that it’s safe. When it interacts with follicles on a regular basis, over time it “wakes up” the ones that are resting, and it also thickens otherwise thin hair. All in all, while Formula 82M won’t necessarily grow you a full head of hair on its own, it’s powerful when used in alignment with other regimens (like PRP therapy).
No. Rogaine hurts your scalp because it contains a known irritant called propylene glycol. Formula 82M doesn’t have that. Therefore, there’s (virtually, see side effects below) no itching, flakiness or irritation involved. It’s applied much in the same manner as other topical solutions, though. It comes in liquid form, and you use a dropper that lets you apply it directly to the parts of your scalp where you need it, bypassing making a mess in your hair. From there, you wait about three hours to shower or go swimming, then you’re done! Are there any side effects? In rare cases, it can cause skin irritation, but that’s extremely uncommon since there isn’t propylene glycol in it.
Just try to relax and be patient. While you should start to see the effects of Minoxidil Formula 82M start to work soon after you begin treatment, they won’t fully set in until 6-12 months down the road. That may sound like a long time, but it’s really not in the scheme of things! We understand that losing hair is frustrating, but have faith.
