Severe Rosacea
This 65 year old man came to see us for his severe, worsening rosacea that not only caused red pustules on his cheek but also a thickened, red nose from long-standing rosacea. He had been treated for 20 years by a dermatologist with a treatment plan that included diet modification and sun avoidance. His condition never really improved and eventually worsened to the point in which people would negatively comment on his skin without knowing his condition and his frustrations.
Dr. Tracy outlined a plan using the Pro Yellow Laser, which has the most specific target for rosacea out of any laser available on the market. He continued with this plan of 6 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart while also minimizing sun exposure in between sessions and using a string topical vitamin C gel. After about the 4th session he started noticing the results which only improved throughout the treatment sessions. Not only did we focus on the rosacea, but we did laser treatments on his entire upper face and forehead to improve his overall skin texture and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
